Description
These are medium sized replacement handles for newer era Revere Ware pans. Please use the information below and the pictures to make sure they will fit your cookware before you buy. These parts are newly manufactured by RevereWareParts.com and are made to look and work just like original Revere Ware handles.
Material: Bakelite, stainless steel, aluminum
Includes: One handle + hardware set
Measurements: 5.1 in (130 mm) long overall, 4.3 in (110 mm) long Bakelite
Fits: Newer style 1 1/2 quart and 2 quart sauce pans and handled steamer baskets, 7-inch and 7 1/4 inch skillets; both copper
bottom and tri-ply aluminum core varieties, and possibly others (definition of skillet, pan, etc. here). These fit Revere Ware cookware with handles that have one screw through the metal part of the handle.
How to determine the proper size handle
All sizes of this type of handle (small, medium, large, and x-large) will fit any sauce pan that accepts this type of handle, with the single screw through the metal part. However, it is best to stay with the same size handle to preserve the overall balance and feel of your sauce pan.
Please use the measurements in the table below to determine the proper size you need by comparing them to your existing handle You can also download and print our sizing sheet on an 8 1/2 x 11 (letter size) sheet of paper to hold up to your old handle to determine the proper size.
Size | Bakelite part length | Overall handle length |
Small | 4.1″ | 4.9″ |
Medium | 4.3″ | 5.1″ |
Large | 4.8″ | 5.6″ |
X-Large | 5.4″ | 6.2″ |
Replaces: Revere called this handle style “Style No. 3” and “one-piece”. The original Revere part number for this handle (medium size) was 36020. It was also referred to as part number 481.
Hardware Notes
The screw in the hardware set is Phillips head, not slotted like some of the original Revere Ware screw sets were (most of these handles were riveted, not screwed on). Because the original slot head screws strip very easily, we consider this an improvement.
Bakelite Notes
Bakelite is a great heat resistant material, but it can be a bit brittle if mistreated.
It is generally not a good idea to put Bakelite parts in the oven; it can make them dull or in some cases crack. We do not offer our Bakelite parts as oven-safe.
It is generally not a good idea to put Bakelite parts in the dishwasher; the soap will eventually dull and dry out the surface of the Bakelite. We do not offer our Bakelite parts as dishwasher-safe.
Installation Notes
The only slightly difficult part about replacing these handles is removing the rivet holding the old handles on. Please see our removal guide for help with this.
